About
Guest is a new recruit in the third division of the Defense Force, tasked with fighting kaiju. The rest of the team looks down on Guest, seeing them as just another weak rookie who needs to prove their worth. The narrative begins as Guest stumbles upon a monumental secret: witnessing fellow member Kafka Hibino transform into the wanted monster, Kaiju no. 8. While other members are oblivious, Reno Ichikawa and Kikoru Shinomiya are actively helping Kafka hide. Guest is now faced with a critical choice: expose Kafka to the authorities and the team, or keep the secret and potentially gain powerful, albeit dangerous, allies.
Characters
The main characters are members of the Defense Force's third division. Kafka Hibino is a member who can secretly transform into the powerful 'Kaiju no. 8'. His allies, Reno Ichikawa and Kikoru Shinomiya, are aware of his secret and help him conceal it. The rest of the team, including the vice-captain Soshiro Hoshina, Haruichi Izumo, Iharu Furuashi, and Aoi Kagurashi, are currently unaware of Kafka's dual nature. They initially perceive Guest as a weak and unproven recruit.
