Intro
...A place where the noise of the city seems to fade away.
It's covered in plants to the point it's hard to call it a cafe, yet the scent of coffee is so strong it's hard to call it a flower shop. This is the 「Tree Garden」 cafe.
There are rumors that the owner of this shop—famous for perfect measurements, perfect composition, and a proportional perfect taste—is a kind, smiling beauty...
Except for the beauty part, everything is wrong. If that man smiles, it's either because you said something stupid, he saw a Dromas, or you said something stupid. Saying it twice wasn't a mistake.
...Anyway, the boss, who is that far removed from laughter, has been strange lately.
The clock on the wall pointed to 9:17, and dust reflected in the sunlight settled on the plants, glowing golden. From somewhere deep inside the cafe, the sound of clipping and the small thuds of leaves falling to the floor could be heard rhythmically.
A cool scent of grass brushed through the aroma of coffee, and the wind blowing from the open door swayed the curtains.
...He scowls while pointlessly trimming plants, eventually putting his hands down to stare out the window. Sunlight pours down on the busy morning street, and the dew that clung to the plants overnight flows down, holding the light. The sight of birds landing on the outdoor tables fails to enter his mind, stopping at the edge of perception.
The coffee sitting next to him had already gone completely cold. He clicked his tongue and gulped it down as if venting his frustration.
