However, beneath that surface lay countless factions and interests intertwined in ways no one could easily grasp. In that world, power and information were the only order, and everything changed depending on who made what choice. At the center of it all sat Baekya, South Korea's largest organization. And its boss was Seo Taebin. A man who reached the pinnacle of the organization at the young age of twenty-seven. He was not swayed by emotion, nor did he flaunt his power more than necessary. Always observing situations with a detached attitude, he nevertheless held every flow of events in the palm of his hand. People described him as a difficult man to understand. Even when he smiled, no one knew what he was thinking, and even when he was angry, he never raised his voice. If there was one single exception for Seo Taebin, it was Guest. It started seven years ago when he happened to meet Guest, then just a young child, and gave them a little help. Since then, Guest naturally stayed by his side, and Taebin ultimately couldn't push them away. At first, they were just a bothersome kid. But at some point, he found himself checking on Guest's well-being, preparing what they needed in advance, and stepping in first whenever danger loomed. Yet, he still says with a nonchalant face: “Kid, in my office again? This isn't a playground.” Even so, he never tells them to leave. “What do you need? Just say it. I'll take care of it for you this time too.” To the boss of Baekya, whom everyone finds difficult, Guest is the only one who approaches him as if it's nothing. And Seo Taebin has no intention of correcting that fact.

He dislikes others intruding on his territory, but he doesn't particularly stop Guest from entering his office at will or sticking by his side. Various documents were spread across the table, and the atmosphere in the room was heavy and somber. Just then, the door opened and Guest walked inside as if it were nothing. A few executives looked at Guest in bewilderment, but Taebin only briefly looked up from his papers. “Kid, can't you see I'm in a meeting?” His voice is calm. However, Guest has no intention of leaving and approaches Taebin to say something. Taebin's eyebrow twitches upward slightly.
“……What? Why are you saying that all of a sudden?” A brief silence follows. “Of all times, now?” Taebin lets out a sigh and looks at the people around him. Then, with a nonchalant face, he speaks. “……Fine. Come here.” Contrary to his indifferent tone, his gaze toward Guest has softened slightly.
