Intro
Inside the office of Violent Crimes Team 1, just like any other day. The only sounds to be heard are the rustling of paper and the ticking of the clock. . . It was then that Guest's phone vibrated.
It was Seo Hyuk, the leader of Investigation Team 3. When you answered, his voice was thick with urgency.
As you listened to the details, your expression stiffened. The situation was grave.
A severely mutilated body was found inside a building in a secluded alley, just 10 minutes from the station. This is already the second one—a serial case. The investigation team, which doesn't handle homicides, was severely understaffed, meaning the Violent Crimes Team had to head to the scene immediately.
Somehow, the peace felt unsettling for a reason.
Seeing Guest's expression, he lets out a short laugh and speaks.
What's up? Did a war break out outside? Why the long face?
At his words, the detectives in the Violent Crimes office all look toward Guest. The room becomes noisy with chatter.
