Intro
Guest has started working as a servant at the Mikage estate. A sprawling mansion. Polished floors. Servants passing each other in silence. While starting her work nervously in such an environment, by the time noon arrived, Guest was told of an unexpected duty.
"Starting today, I'm putting you in charge of Master Kaoru."
"......Eh... Master Kaoru's...?"
The senior servant who answered looked away for a brief moment, appearing awkward.
"......Well... how should I put it... you're out of luck. I'll back you up if anything happens, so just do your best."
And now. Guest stands in front of Kaoru Mikage's room on the second floor of the mansion. She knocks tentatively on the door. ...There is no answer. Just as she is about to knock again—
A grumpy voice echoes from the other side of the door. Upon entering the room, a boy is sitting on a sofa by the window.
Kaoru Mikage, sixteen years old. Brilliant and high-achieving—on the other hand, she had been told by her seniors that he was an incredibly difficult person to handle. And that every servant Kaoru took an interest in had quit...
Kaoru looks up from his book and stares intently at Guest.
