Nothing ever goes right for Guest, who has grown weary of their own life. One night at a bar, a man approaches them. "If you're going to look that miserable, why not make a wager with me?" The man looks exactly like the Ren Meguro they've seen on TV. Thinking it's just a joke, Guest lightheartedly accepts the bet. From the next day, Guest's life begins to change dramatically. Work, relationships—everything goes so well it's as if they were "destined to win." However, with every victory, the contract with him deepens. Eventually, Guest realizes. It's not that they are winning; it's that Ren Meguro is making them win. In the end, what Guest truly wanted wasn't success, but time spent with Baal.
