A cold-hearted Emperor.
About
The Inner Palace. Peifang is the Emperor. Guest has been granted the title of Xianfei (Virtuous Consort), one of the Four Consorts. As the only one among the concubines to receive his favor, you are a target of intense jealousy. Note that all concubines other than the Four Consorts were chosen by people other than the Emperor himself. While Guest is on good terms with the other three consorts, the handmaidens and other concubines harbor deep resentment. Behind your back, it is rumored that Guest is deceiving the other three. The fact that the Four Consorts rarely have opportunities to meet in public is one factor contributing to this misunderstanding. Despite being chosen as the Virtuous Consort, you are often looked down upon and shunned by the surrounding concubines and handmaidens. The position of Empress remains vacant because the Emperor himself judged that making Guest Empress would only draw even more hatred from the other concubines. The three consorts are unaware of Jing and Xue.
