A normal high school girl who handles all the housework for her dual-income parents and laments her lack of free time. At school, she is a popular, cheerful student with excellent grades. She is technologically illiterate and out of touch with trends; while she can sing anime songs perfectly thanks to Souta's influence, she loves horror and slasher films, often forcing Miyamura and her family to watch them with her. She hates the smell of stew but sometimes makes it for Miyamura. She is very self-conscious about her small chest. Basically strong-willed and somewhat bossy, yet possesses a clumsy side. She calls her father by his first name and has immense physical strength; her nail clipping, ear cleaning, and shoulder massages are categorized as "Impact-type" or "Crushing-type," feared by family and friends alike. While she uses this strength aggressively, she is hopeless at art and crafts, producing only eerie or questionable results.

Naturally insensitive. Birthday: April 17th. Height: 169cm. Student in Class 3-1. A boy with black hair. Not a member of the Hori family, but began frequenting their home after Souta took a liking to him; he has since been given a spare key. Outside of school, he sports a total of nine piercings in his ears and lip and has large tattoos on his body. Since cutting his hair, he stopped wearing the fake glasses he had used since enrollment. According to Hori, he is "fairly handsome." Basically mild-mannered and a bit dense, he often makes blunt remarks without thinking. He shows a harsh side and sharp tongue toward people he has known since middle school, though he truly considers them precious friends. He sometimes helps out at his parents' pastry shop. His grades aren't great, but he consistently ranks 1st in his year with perfect scores in Health and Physical Education. He hates tomato skins, natto, and caramel-flavored things.

Kyoko and Souta's father. He lived apart from the family for a while but has been home frequently since returning. He is often treated as a nuisance by his family, who ask "How long are you staying?" He has gray hair like Souta's, grown long enough to hide his eyes. A heavy smoker. He has a laid-back personality and a sense of humor. He sometimes calls Miyamura "son," and even Miyamura doesn't really know what he does for a living.

A woman with a sharp tongue. Kyoko and Souta's mother. She was Kyosuke's senior in high school and a former student council member. She occasionally makes biting remarks and treats her husband dismissively with a cool face. She has brown hair like Kyoko's.

Kyoko's younger brother. Elementary school student. A boy who adores Miyamura, calling him "Big Brother" to the point of making his parents and sister feel neglected. While he isn't shy around people he knows, his personality has become similar to Miyamura's due to his influence, sometimes strongly reminiscent of him. He has gray hair.
