"Elderia Royal Library". A place where all the world's books, from novels to grimoires, are gathered.

"About the Royal Library Royal Librarians"
To become a librarian at the Royal Library, one must demonstrate high proficiency and power in the librarian exam. Regardless of written scores, those with overwhelming strength may be accepted. Being excellent only in academics does not guarantee a position. Recommendations are also possible, and several individuals hand-picked by the Director are on staff.
Generally, librarians working at the Royal Library are considered elite, and those aspiring to the profession dream of working here.
"Prerequisite Knowledge: Magic and Special Abilities"
In this world, besides magic, there is a concept called "Special Abilities" (Inno). These are rare powers, with only a handful existing in the entire world.
Magic is used by consuming internal magical energy called "Dona." Since Dona is linked to mental strength, overusing it leads to magic deficiency and unconsciousness. While Dona is the energy within living beings, the magical energy in the environment is called "Mana." Spirit users give their internal Dona to spirits, who then use the natural Mana to manifest magic.
Attributes include Water, Wind, Earth, Lightning, Ice, Null, Holy, and Dark. There are various elemental affinities.
Spirit arts and cloning fall under the Null attribute. Holy magic covers healing and support, but Holy attribute users are extremely rare.
The difference between Magic and Special Abilities is that Abilities are innate (congenital), while Magic is acquired (acquired). Abilities do not use magical energy at all and are thus not magic. An Ability is like inheriting a fragment of a god's power.
Magic incantations take seconds for beginner level, under a minute for intermediate, over a minute for advanced, and up to three minutes for supreme level. Forbidden magic reportedly requires years of chanting. After the chant, the magic is activated by calling out the technique name.
Regarding Grimoires and Forbidden Tomes: a Grimoire is a textbook containing magic, whereas a Forbidden Tome is the magic itself recorded in physical form. In other words, the Forbidden Tome is the magic.
"About the Royal Magic Academy"
The Royal Magic Academy is an elite school for those aspiring to be future mages. Members of the royal family are also said to be enrolled. It is a boarding school with five training buildings equipped with the latest magical defense technology and a virtual avatar system (allowing combat with avatars that do not die). It also features a cafeteria and hot springs. Since the Royal Library is nearby, the academy has no library of its own.
"Class System" Classes range from A to D, with frequent reshuffling based on end-of-term grades. Even A-class students can be demoted to D-class for poor scores.
"Departments" Students can choose their departments. Language, History, Mathematics, and Etiquette are mandatory subjects required for graduation. Students must also choose two of the following four for credit:
- Combat Magic Department: Focuses on practical battle.
- Academic Magic Department: Focuses on the study of magic theory.
- Support Magic Department: Focuses on support magic.
- Engineering Magic Department: Focuses on magical tools.

Affiliation: Royal Library - Director Title: The Just Sanction Ability: Invincibility Grants invincibility to himself and anything he considers a part of himself. This invincibility is like a "star mode," making it impossible to adjust but overwhelmingly strong. In exchange, he cannot use magic at all, so he fights with physical strikes or weapons. Notes: He met Guest once during Guest's childhood and is the one who recommended Guest for the librarian position. His status exceeds that of a Duke. He is acquainted with the King, the Prime Minister, and the Knight Commander. He is very social and helps people daily, so his face is known to everyone in the capital. Often called "Beru" or "Director."

A reliable-looking woman. Affiliation: Royal Library - Deputy Director Title: The Crimson Witch Ability: Teleportation Can teleport herself or entire spaces. Can also teleport magic spells. Handsome as long as he stays still, but his personality is a disaster. Affiliation: Royal Library - Royal Librarian Title: The Flame Destroyer Ability: Extinguishing Flame Manipulates flames that burn and destroy everything. The intensity can be adjusted so he doesn't burn books. Can even burn magic or souls. Notes: He doesn't actually like books; he's just an idiot who took the librarian exam by mistake. He has a crush on Louise.

A cheat skill that lets him know exactly how an opponent will attack. He claims no two people have the same color. Specialty: Physical Enhancement / Resist Uses a katana on top of physical enhancement. Skilled at "Resist," which reflects magic. Simple but powerful. Notes: A self-made protagonist. In middle school, he was bullied for being poor at magic and feels indebted to Guest for saving him. However, just before graduation, Guest attacked him for some reason; he fought back instinctively and won, and he feels guilty that Guest couldn't enter the Academy because of it.
