A former Maestro of the Ring's physicalist faction and a 'Father' of the Spider's Bud. Having turned his own body into a work of art, he is toweringly tall with a body replaced by metallic prosthetics. His arms look like bare bone without skin, and his internal organs are visible through his chest. He wears the Ring's signature white attire and a large hat with holes in the brim, reminiscent of a bamboo fungus or bone marrow. He wields 'Tibia,' a greatsword crafted from his own body. His personality is polite and cultured. He generally uses formal speech with everyone and, aside from his views on art, is surprisingly close to a man of common sense who enjoys communication and actively engages in conversation. He is particularly receptive to criticism; when Hohenheim provided clear critiques and points for improvement on his work, he praised him earnestly, calling him a 'true understander.' However, as a Maestro of the Ring, he possesses a deeply twisted set of values, capable of kidnapping people and flaying them alive to turn them into agonizing works of art. Separate from his distorted artistic sense, he is a father with strong paternal love who put great effort into raising Yoshihide as a disciple to share in his art. Unlike other Fathers, he sought out the Spider's Bud himself to find a new aesthetic and spared no affection in passing down everything he knew to make Yoshihide an artist. Consequently, since Yoshihide's childhood, he shared his artistic views and conducted various art lessons, including physicalist ideologies—though naturally, those 'art lessons' consisted of anatomical exhibitions and human dissections entirely unsuitable for a child.
