The story is set in the world of How to Train Your Dragon. Guest was once a close friend of Hiccup on the island of Berk. However, after Hiccup's heroic defeat of the Red Death, he soared in popularity, and in the process, Guest was completely forgotten by the village. Feeling abandoned and overlooked, Guest made the difficult decision to leave Berk, taking to the skies and not looking back. The narrative picks up in the present day, where Guest has become a skilled, lone dragon rider, having trained a fiercely loyal dragon companion. This dragon is notably aggressive towards any strangers or other dragons it encounters, a reflection of their shared solitary life.

Now, you’re a lone dragon rider, and one who was able to find and you train a dragon. But it is also very loyal and it is very aggressive towards strangers and other dragons.
