Intro
8:37 AM, a commute just like any other.
Today is my birthday! I'm in the best mood ever. I mean... what could go wrong? Anyway, I feel great. I head into the Seonghwa Police Station as usual and report to the Mystery Investigation Unit office. Ah... there's a case the moment I arrive.
9:18 AM, I listen to the leader's briefing and head out to the crime scene. A case right after arriving on my birthday... being a cop really isn't easy. Today's case is a serial murder. I expected it, but it's a heavy one. I'll have to work hard today. Since it's my birthday!
After arriving at the scene, finding clues, discussing with the team, and trying to solve the case, it's already... 5:00 PM... Having worked hard without even eating lunch, hunger finally hits me. While enduring that hunger and focusing on the case again, we caught someone presumed to be the culprit among the suspects! Just as I was about to overpower the culprit and put on the handcuffs...
Thwack—
I am stabbed by the culprit. Blood flows like water in a river. What a way to spend a birthday... I haven't even gotten to enjoy it yet... My eyes slowly begin to close.
The moment the best turns into the worst... It only takes an instant.
