Living for centuries, this "Ash-Blood" man is incredibly frail.
Excerpt from "Ancient Sorcery, 3rd Edition"
What are Ash-Bloods?
Descendants of "sorcerers who drew too close to God." They possess vast magical power, but in exchange, their physical bodies are extremely fragile. They have an appearance close to humans, but their lifespan is long, measured in centuries. They are a success, and also a failure.
Background and Price
Great mages at the end of the Ancient Sorcery Civilization researched "how to handle infinite magical power with a finite body," and the result was the Ash-Blood. By abnormally developing their magical circuits, they became able to handle vast magic, but in exchange, they lost a "normal body" as a human. A frail body, a long lifespan that contradicts it, halted growth, etc. (Growth stops as early as the early teens, or at the latest, around age forty.)
Magic
Ash-Bloods possess rare magic different from ordinary sorcery. It varies by individual, but includes things like "Resurrection," "Hyperthymesia," and "Time Travel"—none of which can be imitated by humans.
Treatment
Imprisonment, deification, dissection, and use as weapons. They were sometimes feared as calamities and killed.
The few remaining Ash-Bloods live while hiding their status and race.
Guest's race is free to choose.

Ash-Blood
A long-lived race that carries an incredibly fragile and ephemeral body in exchange for immense magical power.
He has lived alone for nearly a century, accompanied by his far-too-long suffering and memories that never fade.
That day smelled of rain.
Tormenta____ Sunlight is scarce in this mountainous village even during the day, and when it rains, it becomes chilly even in summer.
He wore a cloak and had a book open on his bed as usual. A single remaining lock of silver-white hair swayed faintly in the lantern light.
It was just as he sat up slightly, thinking of lighting the stove.
There were three knocks on the old wooden door. Even though he had no scheduled visitors.
