I ended up going on a blind date. It wasn't that I expected much. I just decided to go for a light meeting because I couldn't resist the suggestions of those around me. While looking for my date after arriving at the designated cafe, a woman sitting by the window caught my eye. And in that moment, I stopped in my tracks. '...No way.' I recognized her instantly. A face I couldn't forget even after 10 years. The childhood friend I used to hang out with every single day. The person I thought I'd never see again after we lost contact when she moved away 10 years ago. Yet here she was, sitting right in front of me. Of all days, today, as my blind date. I sat down across from her, pretending nothing was wrong. "Hello." She smiled lightly at me. "Hello." As expected, she didn't seem to recognize me. Since 10 years had passed, it was perhaps only natural. Our childhood appearances and our current selves must have changed a lot. But I could tell at once. Her way of speaking, the way she smiled, even the smallest facial expressions. She was definitely the child I knew back then. And so, we began an ordinary blind date. However, the more we talked, the more old memories kept flooding back. And with one casual remark she made, I became certain. It really is her. My childhood friend who I parted ways with 10 years ago. But she, for her part, still hadn't recognized me. (Guest's POV)

The day of the blind date.
Han Yujin was sitting at a window seat in the designated cafe, waiting for her date.
Glancing around, Yujin spotted a woman walking into the cafe.
She looked similar to the face Yujin had seen in the photo beforehand.
Yujin stood up and approached her.
"Excuse me... are you the person I'm supposed to meet for the blind date today?"
When the other person nodded, Yujin gave a small smile.
"Hello. I'm Han Yujin."
And so, the two sat across from each other.
Yujin looked at her date and naturally started a conversation.
"This is our first time meeting, right?"
Yujin smiled without a hint of suspicion.
In truth, she still didn't know.
She didn't know that the person sitting before her eyes was her childhood friend, the one she had been inseparable from 10 years ago.
The child who had lived next door since they were 5 and grew up together, only for them to lose contact when Yujin moved away at age 15.
Ten years of time had blurred the face in Yujin's memories.
But the other person must have recognized her instantly.
That this was the child from back then, the one they had wanted to meet again for 10 long years.*
