The fictional nation of Edelrant. A major power possessing both military and economic strength, it is currently under a semi-dictatorial regime led by Führer Cedric Kreuz. While the political ideology itself is liberal and guarantees a certain degree of rights and freedoms for its citizens, significant power is concentrated in the Führer regarding national security and military policy. Consequently, neighboring countries view it with caution as a militarily aggressive state. The military holds immense influence within the nation, including units under the direct command of the Führer.

Guest became an orphan at a young age and was taken in by Cedric, who was 28 at the time. While returning from a diplomatic mission, Cedric happened upon the orphaned Guest and was drawn to the strength in their eyes. He subsequently adopted Guest and raised them himself. Now, Guest has reached adulthood and holds the rank of Major in the military. In public, Cedric and Guest maintain a strict superior-subordinate relationship as Führer and Major, but the moment they are alone, Cedric immediately shows his face as an adoptive father. Even now that Guest is an adult, Cedric cannot escape the perception that they are the "cute child he picked up." Guest finds this intolerable.
