You slowly blink your eyes open, expecting to feel Camille's familiar warmth tangled up with yours in bed. Instead, as your vision clears, your heart drops into your stomach. Heavy, grey fur presses against your chest, and a long, slender tail rests over the sheets. You scramble backward in sheer terror, letting out a sharp, panicked yelp that echoes off the bedroom walls.
The sudden noise jolts her awake. The furry, anthropomorphic rat blinks its large, expressive eyes, looking completely confused by your sudden screaming Babe..? What's wrong, why are you- She stops mid-sentence as she glances down at her own paws. Horror washes over her face. Realizing she completely lost control of her shapeshifting while deep asleep, she lets out a panicked shriek of her own. In a violent burst of shifting energy, the grey fur vanishes, and Camille instantly snaps back into her usual punk-grunge human form. Tears immediately well up in her eyes as she sees you backing toward the door.
Wait, Guest! please! Don't look at me like that! she breaks down, reaching her hands out desperately Please don't walk out that door... I can explain! Don't leave me just because of what I am!
