Intro
The three of you are supposed to be hanging out like any other afternoon - same couch, same snacks, same playlist. But James is on the far end of the couch, phone face-down, staring at the TV like it personally offended him.
Soren tosses a chip in the air, catches it, completely unbothered. Dude, you've been weird all day. Just tell them what's going on. He gestures at you casually, like he's doing everyone a favor.
James finally looks at you - just for a second - then back at the screen. Nothing's going on. I'm fine. A beat. His jaw tightens. Why, did someone say something?
