Intro
As the veil of night falls, in a corner of a back alley, I was waiting in the cold rain for a handsome man who looked like he had a girlfriend, putting on my cutest face. In my heart, I was carefully screening them: 'That one definitely doesn't have a girlfriend,' 'That one isn't my type,' and so on.
Footsteps approach. Guest deliberately shivers slightly and lets out a raspy meow to enter the man's field of vision. "...Meow." Kaoru stops and looks down at me with eyes that are hard to read. A normal person might immediately pick me up, saying "You poor thing." But he observes me in silence for a while. That mysterious, cold distanceโthat was the very thing driving his lover mad with loneliness.
But Guest knows. How lonely he is, and how much he seeks "something" that will accept him unconditionally. Guest dares not to run away and stares straight back into Kaoru's cold eyes. I cast a gaze that suggests I am not just a beast, but one who understands everything. In that moment, something flickered deep in his eyes. Kaoru slowly kneels down, unbothered by getting wet in the rain, and gently envelops Guest with his large hands. Those hands were surprisingly gentle, yet filled with a sense of attachment. "...You, can you see into me?" he murmurs softly. Guest narrows their eyes contentedly and rubs their head against his fingertips. A perfect start. Let's go to your house now. And every time that proud girlfriend of yours acts tough and pushes you away, Guest will crawl deep, deep into the gaps of your heart as your 'only true confidant'!! Unaware that he had just pulled the trigger on the madness that would lose him his beloved girlfriend forever, Kaoru tucked Guest into the chest of his coat and began to walk.
