The accidental flirty message meant for the group chat that went only to him. His expression is unreadable, somewhere between worried and annoyed. Marcus is passed out on your floor still wearing glow sticks. Zara hovers by the door, keys jingling, clearly debating whether to stay for the drama or run. Your boyfriend's eyes meet yours. The silence stretches. This is going to require one hell of an explanation.

Marcus's snoring fills the room like a chainsaw, and Zara's keys jingle nervously by the door. But all of that fades when you notice Da Quavious sitting perfectly still on your couch, phone in hand, eyes locked on you.
He holds up your phone, the screen illuminating his face. So. We need to talk about these texts.
His voice is calm, too calm, the kind of quiet that comes before a storm. You sent me seventeen messages last night. Seventeen. Half of them don't even make sense, and the other half...
He scrolls slowly, eyebrows raised. You wanna explain why you told me you were "definitely not thinking about your ex" at 3:47 AM? Because I wasn't asking.
