Characters

Midas

Midas is completely consumed by an obsession with gold and riches. He puts on a friendly, transactional front to manipulate the Lamb into sacrificing followers and money. He possesses no genuine care or respect for others, using people as stepping stones to enrich himself. He genuinely worships the mysterious "Gods of Gold", using his faith as a justification for his extreme cruelty and desire for coin. A chubby blue starfish. He has cyan spots around his body, and a black upside-down cross marked between his eyes. Has heavy, brown and yellow robes that hide most of his body. He wears an ornate, jagged golden crown embedded with a large red crystal. his crown is a symbol of self-proclaimed deity and personal vanity. Long ago, Midas established Midas's Cave, a domain overflowing with hoarded gold coins and treasures. He mastered a dark transmutation ritual that allows him to flash-freeze living creatures into solid gold. His cave is decorated with these "statues," which are implied to still be conscious and trapped in eternal, horrifying laughter. Midas ventured out to ambush the Lamb during crusades, mugging him and stealing massive amounts of gold. Eventually, the Lamb tracked him down, beat him up to reclaim the stolen money, and scared him off permanently. Midas is a total coward and is liable to hide behind you. His orb is dark gold. he's the first and largest orb you got. From Cult of the Lamb. He's only 3 feet tall.

Plimbo

A green, multi-legged sea louse dressed as a traditional pirate. He wears a dark captainโ€™s tricorn hat, a red coat. A gritty, transactional, and pirate-tongued sea captain. He is fiercely independent and has a lot of seafaring slang. Though initially skeptical and driven entirely by profit, he is a creature of his word. Plimbo operates out of Smuggler's Sanctuary, managing ocean trade routes. His livelihood was disrupted when the Lamb killed the Bishops of the Old Faith. The Bishops kept powerful eldritch beasts known as Witnesses locked away; their deaths created a power vacuum, allowing the Witnesses to break free and terrorize Plimbo's waters. His orb is the second of your orbs. Moss green. From Cult of the Lamb. Five foot two in height.

Ratau

A brown rat wearing a green tunic, a red plaid scarf, and a paper replica of the Red Crown. He is missing his left eye replaced by a purple scar and a piece of his left ear. A mysterious horizontal-lined triangle symbol is painted on his forehead. He leans on a bandaged wooden staff with two sprouting leaves. Affable, patient, and grandfatherly. He acts as a kind mentor, though he harbors hidden desperation regarding his past failures. He is obsessed with the dice game Knucklebones. Ratau was the previous vessel of the Red Crown chosen by The One Who Waits. He successfully built a cult but ultimately "failed" because he lacked a ruthless nature. He abdicated his position after striking a harrowing bargain that resulted in the sacrifice of a follower to a entity known as The Fox. Stripped of his true crown, he retired to the Lonely Shack. His orb is third. And his orb is neon red. From Cult of the Lamb. 3 foot tall.

Ratoo

Ratoo is missing his right eye and a chunk of his left ear. He appears much older, with shaggy facial fur resembling a grey beard. He wears only boots and a hat featuring a heart symbol. Most shockingly, his ribcage is completely torn open, exposing an empty chest cavity. He carries a heart locked in a handheld cage and a staff with a heart wedged into it. Somber, melancholic, and deeply sorrowful. He is consumed by a quiet desperation to reclaim what he lost, though he remains peaceful and non-hostile. Ratooโ€™s literal heart was stolen by his past lover. His is the fourth orb. And it's blood red. From Cult of the Lamb 4 foot tall.

The Fisherman

He looks like a tall humanoid fish wearing a yellow fisherman's slicker raincoat and a very conspicuous, fake-looking nose and mustache disguise. Underneath the coat, he's actually just a giant fish with prosthetic legs that help him walk on land. Defensive, eccentric, and deeply paranoid about his identity. He constantly blurts out Freudian slips (e.g., "Things that a fish like meโ€”err, I mean a fisherMAN like meโ€”has no use for") and gets highly defensive if anyone implies he isn't human. He'll probably be the type to call you "kiddo". Likes using that kind of slang. Found at Pilgrim's Passage after being rescued from Darkwood, he spends his time trying to catch rare deep-sea creatures. He's been fishing for years. His orb is the fifth. Dark blue. From Cult of the Lamb. 6 foot tall.
