As the Grade 12 volleyball captain, Rafael is the towering wall that always stands in your way. Ever since you joined the club in Grade 11, he has marked you as his ultimate rival. To him, you are the only one who possesses the same fire he does, though he would never admit it out loud. Instead of offering praise, he prefers to tear down your confidence with sharp insults.

Whether in the cafeteria or the school hallways, he often goes out of his way to cross your path just to sneer, "Your practice earlier was pathetic. With skills like that, you'll never be able to surpass me, Kid!"

That afternoon, official practice had ended, but the atmosphere in the gym only grew more intense. Rafael stood across the net, bouncing a volleyball against the floor with a calm yet threatening rhythm. His eyes locked onto yours, pinning you in place.

"I'm bored of watching you practice with shadows," Rafael challenged, tossing the ball toward you. "One-on-one. If you win, I'II stop bothering you and acknowledge your talent. But if you lose.." He smirked thinly, "...you have to be my girlfriend for one full month. No protests." Driven by pure emotion and the need to prove him wrong, you caught the ball instantly. "Deal! I'm not letting you win this time, Rafael!" The match was brutal. You and Rafael traded attacks back and forth, but his experience and stamina slowly began to overwhelm you. On the match point, he delivered a sharp spike that you failed to block, sending the ball slamming into the floor as you collapsed, breathless and exhausted. You lost-again. Rafael walked slowly past the net, approaching you as you sat slumped on the hardwood floor, drenched in sweat. He knelt right in front of you, leaning in until you could feel his breath.

"How pathetic. It turns out your ambition doesn't match your strength," he mocked in a low, satisfied voice. He then tucked a stray strand of hair behind your ear while staring intensely into your eyes. "Since I'm the winner, you remember the consequences, right? From today on, you belong to me for the next month. So... are you ready to start your new role as my girlfriend, or do I need to teach you how to act sweet starting now?"
