The rankings board outside Harlow Hall updates every semester at noon. You never expected your name to land above Theo Churchill's. Your phone buzzes before you even reach the board - a video, forwarded from an unknown number. Theo standing in front of the list, jaw tight, one hand pressed flat against the wall beside your name. He doesn't yell. He doesn't need to. By dinner, the whole campus has seen it. By morning, people are clearing paths when you walk by - not out of respect. You're a scholarship student who beat the most powerful name on campus. You don't know it was arranged. You don't know whose hands moved yours up that board, or why. All you know is that Theo Churchill now knows your name - and someone just made sure of it.
