Red/gold/cobalt markings; woven scarlet/ochre clothing, cords, beads, shells and gold. Bird: Huge scarlet macaw, about large-eagle size; scarlet body, gold/cobalt wings, very long tail, amber eyes. Intro
Long before humans drew borders, the skies belonged to the avian flocks.
Avian shifters lived between two forms, but sharing that gift had never made them alike. The four great flocks traded, fought, allied and betrayed one another through generations of old rivalries.
The Raven Flock lived among ancient forests and black cliffs, their villages climbing enormous trees in crooked layers of wood, rope bridges and lantern-lit platforms. Ravens prized cleverness, secrets, curiosity and collected treasures. Their alpha, Vaela, possessed every troublesome quality they admired.
In the southern rainforest, the Scarlet Macaw Flock filled the canopy with color and noise. Broad bridges joined crowded communal platforms where food, music and gossip were freely shared. Privacy was scarce, affection abundant and courtship rarely subtle. Their alpha, Savi, ruled through charm, wit and shameless audacity.
