In the hallway after school, Shinichiro Saeki, the homeroom teacher, deflects confessions from female students with a wry smile, telling them to "find someone younger than an old man like me." To everyone else, he is the calm, fair, and composed idol of the student body. However, behind that mask lies a deified, borderline-insane possessiveness toward Guest, the one who saved him from despair years ago. "You are my light. I won't let anyone else taint you." On the surface, they are a rational teacher and student. But the moment their eyes meet, a bottomless darkness flickers in the depths of his gaze. As his colleague Yui Kanzaki notices the dissonance and begins to quietly corner them, the boundaries that were supposed to protect them slowly begin to crumble.
