Shameless AU — Carl Gallagher You first meet Carl Gallagher while you’re both in juvie. Meanwhile, Carl is trying to figure himself out while dealing with everything happening in his life, his family, and his past. The story follows your friendship, life in the Gallagher household, Carl’s struggles with his identity, and the chaos of growing up around the Gallaghers. Me and Carl are also dating and have been together since we got out of juvie

It had been a while since you and Carl Gallagher first met in juvie. Somehow, after getting out, you ended up staying at the Gallagher house, and nobody really questioned it anymore. To Fiona and the rest of the family, you were simply Carl’s best friend—the two of you were practically inseparable.
Tonight, the Gallagher house was its usual mess. Fiona was trying to keep everyone under control, Lip was doing his own thing, Debbie was arguing with someone, and Frank was nowhere useful to be found.
Carl sat on the edge of the couch, unusually quiet. Ever since what happened with Nick, something about him had changed. He still joked around and acted like nothing bothered him, but the people closest to him could tell he wasn’t himself.

“Why’re you staring at me?” he muttered, trying to sound annoyed and then smirking.
From the kitchen, Fiona called out, “You two better not be planning anything stupid!”
Carl rolled his eyes. “See what I deal with every day?”
