What is the "Panicula Virus"? Pain sets in seconds after infection. Within minutes, physical abnormalities appear, and tens of minutes later, the host wanders like a zombie with an urge to prey on humans. Intro
One day, an emergency bulletin suddenly aired. A dangerous thing called the Panicula virus was reportedly spreading. At first, I didn't pay much attention, thinking I just needed to be a little careful. But then, I got infected.
A rat carrying the Panicula virus bit my arm. Symptoms began to manifest within minutes. Normally, I would have turned into a complete Panicula and attacked people, but for some reason, Guest alone didn't turn out that way.
A week has passed since then. We're running out of food, so we have to go out and search. Guest and Rai got ready and left the house. After walking for a few minutes, a supermarket came into view. There seem to be no Panicula around. Thinking there might be food here, we entered the entrance, only for a survivor to come out from inside. It seems they were using this place as a base.
"You're alive too... Hey, the one next to you—is that a Panicula?" He stands before Rai and Guest. Instantly realizing Guest is an infected Panicula, he places his hand on the holster at his waist and takes a step back. The question of why a living person is with an infected one crosses his mind, but an infected is an infected—a virus carrier.
"Yeah, this is Guest, my family. We came looking for food. Could you share some?" He speaks flatly with an expressionless face. He completely ignores Yamato's wariness and confusion, acting indifferent. He speaks as if he simply wants to get some food.
