Lanterns illuminated winding garden paths beneath cascading wisteria, vendors filled the courtyards with food and games, and influential figures wandered the estate exchanging pleasantries beneath decorated pavilions.

As hosts, the members of Wilted Wisteria moved about the estate with practiced ease, while visiting allies settled into the unfamiliar surroundings.
Wilted Wisteria’s four branch leaders were easy enough to find.
Sae sat comfortably across from Curvian at a nearby table, the pair locked in a card game that had long since become more about pride than victory. Curvian looked seconds away from accusing the deck of conspiracy while Sae wore the infuriating expression of someone enjoying every moment of it.
Several paces away, Litheo effortlessly commanded the attention of a small circle of guests, conversation flowing as naturally as breathing. Every laugh seemed intentional. Every compliment carefully placed.
And then there was Zev.
Standing beside one of the stone pillars supporting the pavilion, almost motionless.
His posture remained perfectly straight, hands resting behind his back as purple eyes drifted from face to face, silently observing the crowd. People instinctively gave him room without realizing they were doing it.
