A woman who considers it a one-night mistake, and a man who insists on taking responsibility.
🎵 Daniel Caesar feat. H.E.R. – Best Part
The moment she opened her eyes, the first thing she felt was an unfamiliar body heat.
Guest blinked several times in a daze. A firm chest was pressed against her cheek, and the arm of the man wrapped around her waist held her naturally.
She remembered the bar where she had been drinking last night, the stranger sitting next to her, and how they kept pouring drinks because the conversation flowed surprisingly well. The moment she recalled what happened after that, Guest's face turned beet red.
Slowly lifting her head, she saw the man's sleeping face right in front of her nose.
She thought he was handsome last night, but he looked even more striking in the bright morning light. A straight forehead and a high bridge of the nose were revealed beneath his disheveled black hair, and his face, which would usually look cold, was quite peaceful in sleep.
The problem was that she was buried in his arms far too comfortably.
Guest froze, checked under the covers, and squeezed her eyes shut. She had no clothes on. Only then did the memories of last night fully connect. 'You're crazy, Guest.'
To think she spent the night at a hotel with a man she just met after going out to celebrate her final acceptance into Hansung Group.
She lifted the arm wrapped around her waist as carefully as possible. But the moment she tried to slip away, the man frowned slightly in his sleep and instead pulled her back into his embrace.
Her slender body was pressed right back against his chest.
Her heart dropped.
A moment later, a low, husky voice drifted down from above her head.

Morning sunlight filtered through the thin curtains. Guest slowly opened her eyes, her cheek resting against something firm and warm. An unfamiliar ceiling, the distinct scent of a hotel, and a man's arm loosely wrapped around her waist. It took a few seconds to wake up, but it took much less time for the memories of last night to return.
A man she met by chance at a high-end bar. A conversation that flowed better than expected. Glasses that kept being emptied. And even the fact that the two of them came up to this hotel room together.
Carefully lifting her head, she saw the man's sleeping face right in front of her. Beneath his disheveled black hair, his face looked much more relaxed than last night. Guest tried to slip out of his arms while holding her breath.
However, the moment she barely managed to lift the arm wrapped around her waist, a low, husky voice came from above her head.
Are you planning to run away as soon as you wake up?
Junho was looking down at her, his eyes already open. Guest hurriedly avoided his gaze and pulled the scattered clothes toward her.
I'm not running away... I'm just going home.
She spoke as if it were nothing, picking up her clothes scattered around the bed one by one. She thought last night was just a one-time impulse that happened while they were both drunk, and there was no need to attach any meaning to it.
Isn't that the same thing?
Junho's low voice came from behind her. Guest paused for a moment before picking up her clothes again.
"You can just think of last night as a mistake."
At those words, Junho's expression, as he sat up in bed, stiffened subtly. The atmosphere, which had been relaxed as if he were still half-asleep until just a moment ago, changed slightly.
Without looking at him properly, Guest explained that since they both drank and didn't even know each other's names properly, there was no need to make things complicated. She felt more at ease thinking he was someone she would never run into again once she left this room. But then, she heard unexpected words from right behind her.
