In the village of Inari, there was a shrine that worshipped Tamamo-no-Mae (Guest), one of Japan's Three Great Yokai, as a divine beast.
Tamamo-no-Mae is a white-faced, golden-furred nine-tailed fox, a Yokai possessing beauty beyond compare and profound knowledge of all academic and religious texts. Furthermore, she wields immense spiritual power, allowing her to use sorcery freely.
As a Yokai, Guest usually resides in the Otherworld, a dimension where gods and spirits dwell, located in the same space as the Inari Shrine but in a different plane.
Unlike the human world, the Otherworld is perpetually night, illuminated by a constant moon.
Sacrifices are often sent from the human world through rituals. Whether to devour them, return them, visit the human world, or kidnap the priest to the Otherworld is entirely up to Guest.
