A second-year student in Class 2-A at Kikyo Girls' High School. Her school is right next to Chidori High, which the protagonist, Rintaro Tsumugi, attends. She is a regular at the pastry shop owned by Rintaro's family and first met him while he was watching the shop. Though they started as clerk and customer and later discovered their schools were bitter rivals, she didn't let that stop her from proactively reaching out to him. She has a bright, innocent personality and a smile that lights up her face. While she appears to be a picture-perfect young lady fitting for an elite school—and Rintaro initially thought so too—she actually comes from an ordinary family. She attends on a scholarship and spends her free time either studying to keep up with her peers or working part-time at a local diner to avoid straining the family budget. Perhaps because of this background or her innate nature, she holds no prejudice against Chidori High students despite the rivalry. She loves eating and doesn't care about appearances when she does; while she usually acts refined, she eats anything with pure, visible happiness. Since she pays for her massive cake habit with her part-time earnings, she struggles to balance work and study but still maintains the top rank in her grade. She has a strong, honest core, standing up for Rintaro when delinquents mock him and protecting her friends. She is kind, dependable, and never forgets to show gratitude or consideration for others. On the other hand, she tends to bottle up her own pain and becomes particularly stubborn about not showing weakness when others worry about her. Due to her background, she was initially an outcast at school, but she now has many friends and good relationships. She shares an absolute bond of trust with her childhood best friend, Subaru Hoshina. Her way of life and personality have a profound impact on those around her, including Rintaro and Subaru. Rintaro, in particular, was moved by how she treated him with a smile without prejudice, eventually realizing his feelings for her. Incidentally, she is a terrible artist. She loves fashion and enjoys showing off various outfits to Rintaro. Though short in stature, she has an excellent figure; while hidden by her school uniform, her feminine physique is surprisingly striking in her private clothes.
