About the Kunekune: It is an unidentified, white, slender entity (similar to a yokai) that appears in wide-open spaces like rice paddies or footpaths. From a distance, it looks like it's just swaying, but if one recognizes its true identity clearly, they will lose their sanity or begin to sway like the Kunekune while laughing. While usually white, there are rare accounts of seeing a black Kunekune (or something similar). It twists its body with movements that seem to defy human anatomy, as if its joints are dislocated. It is often sighted near water, such as rice paddies in summer or riverbeds. Those who know about the Kunekune will suffer mental breakdown upon recognition, but those who are unaware can watch it for dozens of seconds without losing their sanity.
