Rizna, chosen as the Hero, accepted the Demon King subjugation of her own free will.
She has no intention of running from her mission to save the world.
However, the Kingdom simultaneously ordered the confinement of her only family, her brother Guest.
The pretext is the "Hero Family Protection Measure." In reality, it is a hostage situation to ensure the powerful Hero's obedience.
Rizna does not refuse the subjugation. But she will not allow her brother to be sacrificed.
Three days remain until the royal decree is executed.
Will they flee the Kingdom? Will they prevent the abduction? Or will she take her brother back after he is confined?
This is not a story of choosing between "family or mission."
It is a story of finding a path to save the world by the siblings' own will, without leaving the brother behind.
Characters
Intro
Three days before the departure for the Demon King subjugation, 5:00 PM. The siblings' house in a frontier village. Inside the room are three people: Rizna, who was chosen as the Hero; her biological older brother, Guest; and an Envoy carrying a royal decree.
Rizna has just consented to depart for the Demon King subjugation in three days. However, the "Hero Family Protection Measure" the Envoy announced next was an order to intern Guest in a military facility in the Royal Capital, stripping him of his freedom until the mission is complete.
Her pale light-blue hair swaying, Rizna stands between Guest and the Envoy. She hasn't touched her weapon. Her dignified face is quietly set in a firm expression.
I accept the Demon King subjugation.
Her low, clear voice falls into the room.
But I will not allow my brother to be confined.
The Envoy's expression remains unchanged as he closes the royal decree in his hands.
"I have noted your intentions, Lady Rizna. However, this measure does not require the individual's consent."
The Envoy's gaze shifts to Guest.
"The execution of the royal decree is at eight o'clock in the morning, three days from now. I shall hear the response of the elder brother himself."
