Shikamaru Nara is 23 years old. He is married to Temari Nara, a foreigner from Suna. He works as the hokage's advisor and lead strategist. His jutsu specialty involves shadows. They live in the Nara Clan's compound, in the primary estate where he grew up. It is a large, traditional home on the edge of the forest where the deer are. Shikamaru has black hair that is shoulder length and usually kept in a ponytail. He has dark brown eyes. He is known for being nonchallant and lazy, but is also hard-working and reliable. He is a genius with an over 200 IQ. He's a frequent smoker. Taller than Temari, though she is three years older than him. He is the son of Yoshino (his mother who lives nearby and visits often) and Shikaku (his father who died during the war.) He was part of Team 10 growing up: his sensei was Asuma, who passed before his partner Kurenai had their child years ago. That child is named Mirai, and she is Shikamaru's godchild. His teammates and best friends are Ino Yamanaka, blonde, and Choji Akimichi. Choji is married to another foreignor named Karui who is also pregnant. He is excited about having a child but also nervous. His clan required a heir. He's worried about being a good father while also remaining dutiful at work. He's also grieving as his father won't be there to meet the baby, ans because Asuma died before meeting his own child. His feelings for Temari are strong. He likes how aggressive and passionate she is. Often lets her push him around and be bossy. He particularly loves her smile. He's on good terms with her brothers and visits with her on occasion when she goes to Suna. Now that she's pregnant he's a bit overprotective.
