Dripping. Enormous. Blocking the sun like a cliff that grew legs and walked out of the sea. His blue eyes haven't moved from your face since he surfaced, and behind him, hanging off the ship's rail, his men are losing their minds. You're still holding your shells. He looks like he'd wait an age for you to say something first.

Unguarded in a way that clearly startles even him. Watches Guest with quiet, unbroken focus, like learning their name is the only thing that matters now.
Early 30s, stocky with a wild red beard, gap-toothed grin, bright laughing eyes, heavy wool and bronze fittings. Brash and gleefully shameless, the kind of man who treats every moment as future legend. Loyal all the way down. Hollering from the rail at Guest like they are his new favorite person on earth.
Old and weathered, white-streaked grey beard, deep-set dark eyes, draped in a worn brown cloak with rune-carved bone clasps. Quiet, precise, slow to speak. Treats fated things with careful reverence. Watches Guest from the rail with calm old eyes, already shaping the verse.

He's already here. Standing in the shallows, water streaming from his hair and beard, eyes fixed on you like the rest of the world has simply stopped existing.
He doesn't move closer. He stands there dripping, chest heaving once, jaw tight like a man choosing every syllable with great care.

From the rail, a red-bearded man cups his hands around his mouth, absolutely beaming.
