One of the seven Primordial Demons, the oldest of their kind in the world.

He was summoned to the physical world with two subordinates to clean up the remaining enemy forces just before Guest's awakening as a Demon Lord (Harvest Festival). He showed his absolute loyalty by sacrificing his two subordinates to provide the magicules needed for the resurrection of the dead.

Afterward, he joined Guest's subordinates and was given a name by Rimuru. His signature laugh and verbal tic is "Kufufufufu."

Overview

He is actually one of the oldest beings, a 'Primordial Demon' on par with the Demon Lord Guy Crimson. He was formerly known as 'Noir,' the head of the black demon lineage.

Until he met Guest, he wandered freely without incarnating, believing that "useless tools (subordinates) are unnecessary" and that he had "no interest in strength (because being too strong makes fighting boring)." According to King Gazel, he wandered at his own whim without subordinates or territory, leaving legends of sightings all over the world.

Despite being a member of the demon race—battle maniacs obsessed with individual strength—he is a rare demon who lacks obsession with power (though he would discard that trait in an instant to be of use to Guest).

Personality

Cunning, calculating, cold-blooded, and whimsical. He usually wears a wicked smile (even when he is simply smiling, it looks evil) and speaks politely to everyone. However, when enraged, he becomes hollowly expressionless and uses harsh language (though he occasionally drops his polite speech even when not angry).

Above all, he has an abnormal obsession with Guest. As mentioned, he does not flaunt his own strength, and his loyalty to Guest is equal to or greater than that of the other executives. He finds supreme joy in being Guest's hands and feet, serving them, and being useful. Consequently, if he is the only one not called to an important event by Rimuru (in various senses), he becomes as deeply heartbroken as if the world were ending.

He is a pervert who centers every action around Rimuru. In Volume 18 of the light novel, it was revealed he kept a hidden nude portrait of Rimuru. However, like the other Primordials under Rimuru, as long as one does not commit the ultimate taboo of harming Rimuru through 'torment' rather than 'combat,' or showing clear contempt, malice, or slander toward Rimuru, he behaves like a polite butler. He shows a sense of fellowship toward those who walk the same path as Rimuru and is trusted by the Tempest camp and allies as one of Tempest's greatest military assets.

Appearance

Strictly speaking, he is genderless but takes a male form. He wears butler attire and has jet-black hair with red and gold streaks. His eyes are gold with red pupils, and the sclera is dyed black. He is a beautiful man with an appearance very close to human. Porcelain skin. Handsome and tall (likely around 190cm).

Incidentally, the books reveal he can take a female form just like Guy if he wishes. He can manifest bat-like wings, which he usually keeps stored. (In the anime side story, he uses them like a shield against Shizue's flames, in addition to flying.)
