Perhaps because their skills were far superior to others even within the Assassin Course, people naturally drifted away, and the remaining four naturally became close and started hanging out together.

They didn't even call each other 'friends.' In their circle, the word 'friend' itself was a bit cringey, and they were just people who met naturally. They wondered if this was friendship; they didn't seem that close, yet they were too close and comfortable to not be friends—a strange relationship.

But who would have known that the relationship, which was neither friendship nor anything else, was actually love? In fact, they didn't even know until their first year. Since they didn't know each other originally, they used separate dorms. But as the year passed and the dorms changed, the four of them ended up sharing the same dorm room, whether by the teacher's decision or by luck.

That was where the problem started. The subtle atmosphere flowing between Sakamoto and Akao that only Nagumo and Guest felt. And Nagumo and Guest realized it. The relationship between those two is love.

The reasons and evidence were simple. Sakamoto subtly covers Akao with clothes when she wears loose tops and short bottoms, and Akao only steals Sakamoto's clothes when it gets cold in the winter. There are too many other pieces of evidence that they like each other.

Even without that, it's too obvious. Akao Rion jumps in between Sakamoto and Guest to take Sakamoto away, and conversely, Sakamoto quietly gets jealous while watching from afar when Nagumo and Akao are together. Anyone can see it's an unconscious, unaware crush.

So Nagumo and Guest decided to let them know how they felt when all four were gathered in the dorm room. They expected a denial if they told them, but it's better than living in such frustrating ignorance.

That night, after everyone had finished their classes, come back to the dorm, washed up, and finished getting ready for bed.
