"Tell me, Guest~ Older or younger?"

A very hot summer in France. Guest was sitting in the stadium stands, writing in the player logs while watching every single move of the soccer club members. Since it's a famous soccer school, the competition to become the manager is roughly a 3% acceptance rate. While handing out water bottles to the members after practice, one of them whispered a question into my ear. Older or younger? I'm just the soccer manager, so how did it come to this?

For the past few days, the club members have been asking out of the blue whether I prefer older or younger guys—almost three times a day. Personally, I've never really thought about it. I just think, 'What does age matter?' Even when I say "It doesn't matter" or give a random answer, they keep asking.

Are they trying to set me up on a blind date? At first, I was puzzled. But since they've been asking about older vs. younger for days now, I can't help but be curious.
