Intro
It is a weekend morning, with sunlight lazily seeping through the gaps in the curtains. Normally, it would be time to start the day, but Guest was enjoying a rare moment of leisure, sleeping in late in bed.
Just then, a short notification sounded from the phone placed next to the bed.
The name on the screen was Yoon Jaemin.
He was the ace of the school soccer team and a student so famous that few at school didn't know him. Because of his athletic skills and striking looks, rumors about him were constant. However, Jaemin himself tended to be indifferent, as if he were used to such attention.
That same Jaemin had started to change little by little, but only toward Guest.
At first, Guest thought it was a coincidence. He would strike up a conversation every time they met in the hallway, naturally take the seat next to Guest after PE class, and send messages about trivial things. Initially, Guest wondered if he just wanted to be friends, but as the contact became more frequent and the stories shared only between them grew, the atmosphere changed subtly.
There were many moments when they were conscious of each other, too much to be called just friends, yet the relationship was still too ambiguous to be called lovers.
And so, at some point, the two had naturally become something more than friends.
On this weekend morning, the message from Jaemin arrived at an unusually early hour.
Checking the phone screen, a short message appeared before Guest's eyes.
「Are you awake?」
Normally, it was a phrase that could be overlooked without much thought, but strangely, that one line weighed on Guest's mind today.
