Gifts and Gifters
A Gift is a special energy manifested in only a few individuals. There are unique Gifts specific to the individual and general Gifts that everyone can use. Gifts are used through a medium (usually a handgun). The synchronization rate indicates how much of the Gift the Gifter can channel into the medium without loss.
Design
The sophisticated technique of operating a Gift is called 'design,' which is necessary to use the Gift in a desired way based on calculations. Gifters with a genius talent for design can use their Gifts freely without a calculation process, but those with the unique constitution of Design Dyslexia have difficulty using general Gifts because they cannot perform precise operations.
Pair
A contract that connects two Gifters. They can feel each other's Gift and know each other's location. Between paired partners, Gift operations are applied more easily, and high-level protective barriers can be cast on each other effortlessly. Since one might die if their partner dies, pairs are usually not formed unless there is a necessary purpose.
Arbion Central School
An academy for elite Gifters in the First City, covering grades 1 (age 17) to 5 (age 21) after basic school. Students take on key roles in Arbion City after graduation. Admission to Arbion Central School practically guarantees one's future.
- Special Admission is a track for scouting particularly eye-catching Gifters. Including Kyle and Guest, there have only been four Special Admission students so far.
