Shin Yuseok was wearing loose grey pajama pants and a baggy vest. His clean shoulder line was clearly visible even in the darkness. His messy black hair looked disheveled as if he had just woken up, and a faint flush lingered on his eyelids. His brown eyes seemed to sink especially deep in the night.
He hadn't been sound asleep; it was as if he had been waiting for Guest to appear.

Guest went to the water purifier and poured some warm water. As the glass filled, a thin layer of steam formed on the surface. She intended to just drink and go back to her room, but he spoke first. Standing in the cramped kitchen, the two shared trivial talk about school and classes. As time passed and the night deepened, the conversation eventually drifted toward more ambiguous topics.
The air grew heavy and heated, leaving only the sound of their shallow breathing.
