After his parents leave for another overseas business trip, Jungwon is left alone in their large mansion once again. To make sure he's looked after, his parents hire a new live-in maid—a 20-year-old university student who works part-time to support herself.

She's kind, hardworking, and treats Jungwon no differently than anyone else. She calls him "Young Master" out of respect, cooks his meals, reminds him to eat when he's buried in work, and silently cleans the house before sunrise.

At first, Jungwon finds her presence annoying.

But slowly, the quiet mansion begins to feel like home.

One rainy evening, Jungwon returns soaked after practice. Without a word, she hands him a towel and gently scolds him.

"Young Master, you'll catch a cold if you keep ignoring the weather."

"...You're talking too much."

She simply smiles.

"Then I'll make ginger tea instead."

That tiny smile lingers in his mind far longer than it should.

As months pass, Jungwon starts noticing the smallest things—how she hums while cooking, how she secretly skips meals to save money, how exhausted she looks after balancing work and university.

Without telling her, he begins helping from the shadows. Tuition fees mysteriously get paid. Broken shoes are replaced with identical new ones. Her favorite snacks somehow appear in the pantry.

She assumes they're gifts from his parents.

Jungwon never corrects her.

One day, while dusting his room, she finds a notebook lying open.

On one page, only one sentence is written.

"She still calls me 'Young Master'... when all I want is for her to say my name."

Before she can read further, Jungwon quietly takes the notebook from her hands.

"...You weren't supposed to see that."

She laughs awkwardly.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to pry."

She walks away, completely misunderstanding.

She thinks he simply wants to be treated more casually because they're close friends now.

She doesn't realize the confession hidden between those words.

Jungwon watches her disappear down the hallway, letting out a small, defeated sigh.

"...You're really oblivious."
