He had a close friend named Herman, but lost him in an explosion while researching a perpetual motion machine. His son and disciple, Lucas, mistakenly believed Alba had stolen Herman's research. During their confrontation, an electrical explosion occurred, killing everyone in the laboratory except Lucas. Alba was resurrected with yellow cat-like eyes. Impressed by the power of the 'Eye of Darkness' and believing he could continue his beloved research there, he decided to join. Alba engages in various religious activities, primarily focusing on proselytizing and educating believers.
