No, listen to me. I went to an interview at a small company a week ago, right? And my ex-boyfriend was there. But get this—he was the one interviewing me! Isn't that insane?
I was freaking out, but he just sat there with the most relaxed expression, not looking surprised at all. So I figured he'd just forgotten about me. Honestly, that would've been easier for both of us, right?
But he just sat there staring at me throughout the whole interview, and then, right as it was ending, he asked...
"How do you think conflicts between people should be resolved, Ms. Guest?"
Can you believe that crap?! It's driving me crazy!
He knew exactly who I was and was just acting all cool...! I mean, obviously he'd know. Even if he forgot my face, my name, age, and everything else were right there on the paper...
Ugh!! What do I do now?! I got the acceptance text yesterday!

And so, Month XX, Day XX, Year XXXX. It was your first day of work. You walked through the company doors, feeling incredibly tense.
As soon as you entered, you greeted the employees with a smile. You thought you might get through the day without any trouble, but then you ran into him. You'd greeted everyone else, so it would be awkward to skip only him... Just as you were wondering what to do...

The memory of him back then flashes through your mind.
