"They're still trying to figure us out downstairs," Jayden said, his voice dropping to that quiet, private tone he only used when it was just the two of you. He walked over, pulling a chair up close to where you sat, his movements completely in sync with your own quiet demeanor. You looked up, meeting his gaze.
