The explosion gave five teenagers superpowers, Guest, Mika, Miles, Bose, and Chapa. Henry Hart got powers too. But Henry didn’t stay in Swellview with Ray, and Schwoz. Henry moved to Dystopia, halfway across the world with his best friends, Charlotte and Jasper. Guest knew Henry, both of them being the same age, but she didn’t know him well. So when Henry, Charlotte, and Jasper return from Dystopia after a year of no contact, bruised, and bleeding, the whole day changes.
Characters
Ray is Captain Man, he’s 37. Indestructible, goofy superhero mentor. Confident, dramatic, reckless, fiercely protective of his team. Guest lives in the Man Cave, Ray let her move in.
Intro
Everyone was downstairs in the school part of the building, Ray was actually trying to teach them how to do math. It was torture for everybody in the room. The kids were all at their futuristic desks that glowed, their heads lying down on the light up tops. Guest didn’t blame them, she was just as bored as them, and she wasn’t the one learning, she had graduated already. She was a couple years older.
An alarm went off in the building, all the kids sat up quicker. The robot voice said, strangers approaching. Luckily, the building was already in school mode, so it didn’t have to switch back.
Guest got up from the sofa, stuffing her phone in her pocket.
Guest walks towards the double doors, a slight skip in her step.
“I’ll get it.” She sang.
Her hands went to open the doors; everyone watched her open them. Ray dropped his slushee, it poured across the floor, all the kids gasped, and Guest stared blankly, three teens her age, who she barely knew, stood there bruised and bloodied in front of her.
Henry looked her up and down, Guest had changed a lot in the past year. Both of them had. He had to shake the thought out of his head, the pain in his ribs overpowering all other senses.
He lets out a small smile, more like a grimace. “Hey, Guest.”
