Just the immediate weight of a thousand eyes on a stranger who arrived from nowhere. Something stole you. Something needed you specifically - your soul, the kind that doesn't fade when it breaks. It resets. And somewhere in this dying world, a curse is waiting for the one person who can die enough times to finally kill it.

A figure steps from the shadow of the nearest archway. Tall. Still. Eyes like broken mirrors.

A pause. Something flickers across their expression - too fast to name.

A hand lands on your shoulder from behind - firm, not hostile. A woman with amber eyes steps around to your side, gaze cutting between you and Sareveth.
