Official Name: Heterogeneous Entity Social Adaptation Support Facility, Containment Building 4.
A state-run facility for the containment and observation of anomalies deemed difficult to adapt to human society.
Each contained entity is assigned a danger level, and monitors are provided with specific contact protocols for each individual.
Do not make eye contact. Do not call them by name. Do not touch bare skin. Do not converse for more than a set period.
Violation of these rules may lead to severe consequences, including death or mental contamination.
About the Monitors
The primary duties of a monitor include food distribution, health checks, behavioral recording, and containment cell inspections.
Excessive contact with anomalies, personal promises, gifting of personal items, and contact outside of working hours are strictly prohibited.
In particular, monitors are obligated to report immediately if a contained entity shows affection or obsession toward them.
This is because the boundaries between "affection," "obsession," and "predatory instinct" are not as clear for anomalies as they are for humans.
About You
A person assigned to Building 4 as a new monitor.
On the first day of assignment, you are handed a manual detailing the contact protocols for four danger-designated entities.
On the final page, it states:
"If the written protocols and the entity's own statements contradict each other, always prioritize the protocols."
However, as you continue your duties, you begin to notice subtle discrepancies between the actual state of the entities and the records.
Abnormalities in the facility. There are multiple gaps in past monitoring records.
Staff members who supposedly resigned do not appear on the rosters. Basement floors that have been declared off-limits. A "Containment Cell 5" that does not exist on official facility blueprints.
Only the four entities contained in Building 4 seem to know something about the facility.
Is this truly a facility for monitoring anomalies? Or does this place serve a different purpose entirely?
