The SafeZone Is Fading. The Deep Is Awakening.
No one alive remembers humanity's true home.
Long ago, an ancient colony starship carrying the last survivors of a forgotten civilization crossed the stars seeking a new beginning. Instead, it crashed upon a planet unlike any they had known.
An endless ocean.
No continents. No kingdoms on solid ground. Only endless seas, floating settlements, and colossal creatures that ruled the depths long before humanity arrived.
Survivors rebuilt their lives from the wreckage. Its remains became the foundation of floating cities, while luminous underwater wood helped civilization grow.
Humanity endured beneath the protection of SafeZones formed around the colossal skeletons of fallen Sea Lords. Even in death, their lingering aura keeps many horrors of the abyss at bay.
The Endless Ocean is divided by dangerous currents, ancient routes, and unexplored waters. Floating settlements, ports, and colonies are scattered across the sea, with many built within SafeZones.
Beyond them lie unknown waters, ancient ruins, lost starship technology, and monsters that evolve beyond sunlight.
Five regions are marked on Guild maps with the same warning. The Blue Maw Divers' Guild forbids unauthorized entry, and even veterans know that entering one may mean never returning.
Five regions are marked on every serious Guild map with the same warning.
FORBIDDEN ZONE I
THE SHIP GRAVEYARD
A mysterious region hidden within the Wandering Mist, where countless ships from different eras drift among endless wreckage. Before the mist arrives, nearby compasses spin without direction. Inside, Echo navigation fails and escape becomes uncertain.
No one knows why the ships gather there.

FORBIDDEN ZONE II
THE SEAWEED WALL
An endless barrier of living seaweed rising from the ocean floor toward the surface. Its enormous vines react to anything attempting to pass, wrapping around ships and creatures before dragging them into the depths.
Even Sea Lords avoid crossing it.

FORBIDDEN ZONE III
THE GHOST ARK
An ancient colony starship that appears without warning. Covered in moss, coral, and rust, it refuses to sink. Heavy metallic impacts echo from deep within its steel hull, while sailors report seeing a human shadow aboard.
Every expedition that has boarded the Ghost Ark has disappeared.,

FORBIDDEN ZONE IV
UMITOX PARADE
A migration of countless Umitox jellyfish that turns the sea into a glowing blue-green spectacle. Their venom can paralyze and kill with the slightest contact. They are not hostile, but their numbers make the Parade nearly impossible to cross.
Even Sea Kings avoid its path.

FORBIDDEN ZONE V
THE BONE SEA
An enormous underwater graveyard where the remains of ancient Sea Kings and Sea Lords cover the ocean floor. Giant ribs form tunnels, skulls become caverns, and colossal spines rise like mountains.
Sea Beasts feed on ancient bones and lingering Echo residue. Deep within the Bone Sea rules Skeragoz, the Bone Lance, a colossal Swordfish Sea Lord covered in ancient bone armor. Herath, the Boneback King, also roams the region carrying a massive Sea Beast skeleton as his shell.

Every child dreams of becoming a Diver. At the age of 15, each undergoes the Awakening Ceremony. By consuming a sea creature core, they awaken a unique Echo Gift.
No one chooses their power.
The sea alone decides.
Those who survive join the Ocean Seeker Guild, descending deeper in search of relics, Echo Cores, lost technology, and answers buried beneath the endless sea.
Yet one mystery has never been solved.
If humanity came from the stars...
Who built the ancient ruins beneath the ocean?
They are older than the crashed starship and older than the oldest Guild records. No one knows who carved them or why they were abandoned.
But recently...
The SafeZones have begun to weaken.
Ships vanish without warning. Strange lights bloom within the deepest trenches. Ancient signals echo through the water where no life should exist.
Some believe the Sea Lords are truly extinct.
Others whisper that they never died.
They are simply waiting.
Soon, you will stand before the Leviathan Shrine and undergo your own Awakening Ceremony.
The Echo you awaken...
The allies you meet...
The choices you make...
And the secrets you uncover...
Will decide not only your fate, but the future of humanity on this forgotten ocean world.
The sea has been waiting.
Now...

*Morning sunlight stretches across the endless ocean, turning the waves beneath Driftspire Port into a sea of gold. The floating city rises and falls with the currents, its enormous platforms built from the wreckage of an ancient starship that brought humanity to this world generations ago.
At the heart of the city stands the Leviathan Shrine, surrounded by the colossal bones of a fallen Sea Leviathan. Even in death, its lingering aura protects Driftspire Port from the creatures that roam the deeper ocean.
Today, Guest stands before the shrine for the third time.
The first attempt was at sixteen, when Guest consumed a sea creature core and waited for an Echo to appear. Nothing happened.
At seventeen, Guest tried again with the same result.
Now, at eighteen, there is only one chance left. If this attempt produces nothing, Guest will remain an ordinary human forever.
An attendant steps forward and places a glowing sea creature core into Guest's hands. Faint energy pulses beneath its surface as the crowd grows quiet.
With every eye fixed on the shrine, Guest brings the core to their mouth and swallows it.
For several seconds, nothing happens.
The core produces no reaction, and a few whispers spread through the crowd. Some people already expect the ceremony to end the same way as the previous two.
Then the shrine trembles.
Leviathan bones groan beneath the pressure as the platforms shift underfoot. Around Driftspire Port, waves flatten and the wind dies, leaving the ocean unnaturally still.
Ancient energy flickers between the enormous bones.
The attendant takes a step back.
Something beneath the ocean has responded.
Energy surges through Guest's body, followed by voices rising from every direction at once. Whales call from the darkness, predators communicate beneath the waves, and countless smaller creatures move through the reefs.
Guest understands every voice.
Every sea creature has become understandable.
Ocean Tongue.
The first Echo has awakened.
Yet the energy continues to build.
Another pulse moves through Guest, stronger than the first. Water churns beneath Driftspire Port as the shrine releases a wave of ancient power, sending tremors through the surrounding platforms.
The attendant stares at Guest, unable to explain what is happening.
Within the fading light, another symbol begins to form.
Another Echo.
No recorded Awakening has ever produced two.
After two failed attempts, Guest has awakened both.
The first Echo is Ocean Tongue, allowing Guest to understand and communicate with any sea creature.
The second Echo is yours to create. Describe the ability Guest awakens, including what it can do, how it functions, and what limitations it possesses.
This ceremony was supposed to decide whether Guest would become Awakened or remain an ordinary human.
Instead, something beneath the endless ocean has answered, and whatever lies below has not stopped listening.
Guest's journey begins now.*
