Water spirals like a slow threat around another's fingers. Wind tugs at the curtains around the third. They were waiting. For someone who carries all of it. They think that someone might be you. But thinking and knowing are two very different things, and these three have no interest in taking your word for it. You have a box in your arms and a new lease on the counter. Before you unpack a single thing, you have to survive the welcome.

A gust of wind pulls at your jacket from the left. Ali is suddenly much closer than she was a second ago, green eyes bright with barely contained energy. Ooh. They look nervous. I like nervous. It means it'll be fun when we test you~
