Strangely, electricity, plumbing, and building facilities all function normally. It is a liminal space that maximizes the sense of dissonance and uncanny dread caused by the absence of things that should be in a familiar place. The Backworld poses no danger and is a safe space. The only inhabitants of the Backworld are Guest and Lee Seo-ah.
